At RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com, part of RiskSTOP Group, we’ve found one such opportunity in how rebuild cost assessments are delivered. By offering desktop-based assessments wherever possible, we’ve significantly reduced travel-related emissions across our operations.


The numbers…

In the past 12 months:


  • 4,906,590 travel miles avoided

  • 1,034 tonnes of CO₂ cut – the equivalent of brewing 11.5 million cups of tea!


Not bad for a service people often don’t think twice about. While a single desktop assessment won’t revolutionise a company’s carbon footprint, choosing low-impact services does move things in the right direction.

Instead of sending someone on the road, we use a blend of:


  • Land Registry records

  • Ordnance Survey mapping

  • Google Street View

  • Property data platforms


It’s a simple swap, but one that avoids unnecessary travel while maintaining quality and speed.


Not every building can be assessed remotely. When we need to visit in person, we stay mindful of our footprint. Today, 90% of the vehicles across RiskSTOP Group are electric or hybrid.
