ORGANISATION

 

This statement applies to RiskSTOP Group Limited and all its subsidiary companies (referred to in this statement as ‘the Organisation’).

DEFINITIONS

The Organisation considers that modern slavery encompasses:
•human trafficking
•forced work, through mental or physical threat
•being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse of the threat of abuse
•being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property
•being physically constrained or having a restriction placed on freedom of movement.

COMMITMENT

The Organisation recognises its responsibility to help prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of its business. This includes the ongoing review of internal employment practices and supply chain arrangements.

The Organisation will not knowingly enter into, or continue, business relationships with organisations that support or are found to be involved in slavery, servitude, forced labour or human trafficking.

All labour used in the delivery of the Organisation's services is expected to be obtained lawfully and ethically. The Organisation complies with all relevant employment legislation and seeks to maintain employment practices that meet or exceed statutory requirements.
 

OUR BUSINESS
RiskSTOP Group Limited provides Risk Management Surveys with Risk Improvement follow-up and Rebuild Cost Assessments for residential and commercial properties, operating primarily in the United Kingdom. We are based in Dorset and serve clients and property owners across the whole of the UK.

POTENTIAL EXPOSURE

The Organisation considers the overall risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within its operations to be relatively low. Nevertheless, appropriate measures are taken to reduce the risk of such practices occurring within the business or its supply chain.

LEGISLATIVE FRAMEWORK

Although RiskSTOP Group Limited does not currently meet the reporting threshold under Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Organisation voluntarily supports the principles of transparency and accountability in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
The Organisation aims to ensure that its operations and supply chains remain free from modern slavery through the regular review of relevant policies, procedures and supplier relationships.

SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSPARENCY

The Organisation's supply chain includes:
•Providers of specialist services supporting core business operations.
•Suppliers of IT, software, payroll and facilities management services.
•Professional advisers and consultants.

Where appropriate, supplier relationships are assessed to identify potential modern slavery risks, with reasonable steps taken to address any concerns identified.

DUE DILIGENCE AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

Potential suppliers are subject to a proportionate due diligence process, which may include consideration of modern slavery risks.
This may include:
•Supplier questionnaires covering human rights and labour practices.
•Contractual requirements to comply with applicable anti-slavery legislation.
•Integration of modern slavery requirements within procurement and supplier management processes.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, the Organisation is committed to respecting human rights throughout its operations.

This commitment includes:
•Raising employee awareness of modern slavery.
•Promoting ethical sourcing practices.
•Working with suppliers and stakeholders to encourage fair labour standards.

RECRUITMENT PRACTICES
The Organisation is committed to fair and lawful recruitment practices and ensures:
•Compliance with all relevant employment legislation, including right-to-work checks and legislation relating to child labour.
•Employment only of individuals who have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
•Respect for employees' rights to freedom of association and to work in an environment free from exploitation.

TRAINING AND AWARENESS
Employees receive appropriate awareness training to help identify and report potential indicators of modern slavery.
The Organisation maintains a Whistleblowing Policy to enable concerns to be raised confidentially and without fear of retaliation.
