Risk Consultants

As part of our continued investment in risk management we are seeking Risk Consultants located across England. This exciting opportunity is aimed at multi discipline Consultants who have a good understanding of fire & perils, property, business interruption, crime & security & liability, with CAR and sprinklers seen as an added benefit.

Skills required

  • A minimum of 5 years risk management experience for either an Insurer, Broker or Underwriter

  • A good understanding of process risks and the associated risk management solutions needed for them. Experience in applying this knowledge in an industrial setting would be beneficial, or the ability and want to learn in this area.

  • Knowledge of fire protection standards would be beneficial

  • High levels of self-motivation with a real passion for the role

  • Great IT and keyboard skills with the ability to be able to learn in-house systems swiftly

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to negotiate and gain trust

  • The ability to adapt to your surroundings

  • The ability to quickly identify and analyse critical details

  • The ability to convey your findings in a concise manner

  • Evidence of having worked for an insurance company, Broker or Underwriter previously

  • A full UK driving licence

Overview

The successful candidate will be home based, so must be self-driven, and will be expected to produce relevant risk management reports on behalf of our customers after attending site to carry out surveys, or after having undertaken a telephone-based survey intervention. Due to our client base, the work will be wide ranging across the full spectrum of commercial and industrial risks and the reporting formats will vary. Working for an out-sourcing company ensures that you’ll get to use your skill set on a wide range of occupancies due to our customer base.

Assessor

We are seeking an Assessor to work 40 hours a week Monday - Friday at our head office in Poundbury.


This busy and varied role offers:


A salary of £26,510 per year

26 days holiday, plus the usual bank holidays

Assessors play a key role in the production of Desktop Rebuild Cost Assessment Reports for our clients. They are led by our Chartered Surveyor (RICS) team in producing an industry trusted assessment of building rebuild costs. Our Assessors are trained in-house to become highly skilled in online property searches using an array of internet based tools as well as bespoke internal systems. They produce reports for our clients providing a full breakdown of calculations, building measurements, pictures, and maps.


You will be required to meet targets, be highly organised, and have high levels of accuracy. You'll also have have an excellent eye for detail, a good understanding of the English language, knowledge and understanding of the internet, and the ability to prioritise work due to varying client service standards.

In the past, having a property expert visit your building to complete a survey would have cost you an arm and a leg and taken forever to arrange. But not anymore. Surveyor

The Position


The successful candidates will be working as part of our Surveyor team and will ideally be:


· Qualified and/or experienced in areas such as: construction, building surveying, quantity surveying, commercial and/or residential property management, property legislation and regulation, insurance, and/or risk management.

· Have knowledge of insurance industry requirements relating to commercial and residential risks.

· Have an interest in and an understanding of buildings and contents, as well as the various perils and risk areas around residential and commercial property.

Overview


You will be expected to produce relevant site surveys as well as working with our desktop assessment team. Due to our client base, our work is a combination of desktop assessments, telephone-based consultations, and site visits, which will be wide ranging across the full spectrum of commercial and residential property risks, including HNW clients, and will include many listed, unique, and bespoke structures.
