A ten-year throwback at RiskSTOP Group’s Summer Shindig

A familiar RiskSTOP Group tradition returned to Dorchester this summer, with £680 going to charity along the way.

Held at the Trumpet Major on Friday 10 July, the 2026 Summer Shindig gave colleagues some well-earned time together away from their desks.

Operations Director Tom Lillington took on a rather different role for the evening as host of Boogie Bingo. Each of the eight winners received £25 and selected a charity to receive a further £25, resulting in £200 in prizes and another £200 donated to charity.

The buffet took care of dinner, while DJ Iggy provided the music and drew colleagues onto the dance floor.

Among the dancing was one routine making an unexpected return.

Rich and Becky Narramore brought back a dance to Five’s Got the Feeling.

“It was a dance we did as kids and used to bring out at parties around ten years ago,” explained Rich.

For those who remembered it, the routine was a proper throwback and a small reminder of how much shared history there is within the team.

Colleagues also put their hands in their pockets for two causes close to RiskSTOP Group. Voluntary donations raised £480, with every penny being shared between Hangers Heroes and Autism Unlimited.

RiskSTOP Group already has partnerships with both charities, giving the evening a worthwhile result beyond the party itself.

So, the usual line survives for another year. There ain’t no Shindig like a RiskSTOP Group Shindig.
