From supporting a global humanitarian organisation to local healthcare and mental health initiatives, RiskSTOP Group continues to support the vital work of charities both locally and globally.
The Ardonagh Group Give Back Day
One of the quarter’s biggest events was The Ardonagh Group Give Back Day, where our team at RiskSTOP Group took on the ‘Miles for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)’ challenge. We dressed up as doctors and covered miles by walking, running and cycling – all in the name of raising money for MSF, a global medical charity that provides healthcare in crisis zones.
We also added a bit of fun to the day with a ‘Drench the Director’ session. Colleagues paid to soak directors with water balloons, water guns, sponges and buckets. No prizes for guessing why this was a highly popular event!
Natalie Joyce, Group HR and Social Responsibility Associate Director at RiskSTOP said, “The energy during The Ardonagh Give Group Back Day was brilliant. Seeing the team come together to support MSF and have a laugh while doing it was great. We raised £2,730 which will go towards MSF’s vital work. We’re proud to be able to put on events like this to support such causes.”
Maiden Castle Farm Sunflower Trail
In Dorset, the Sunflower Trail at Maiden Castle Farm was a scenic way for the local community to support the Dorset County Hospital Charity’s Emergency and Critical Care Appeal. The trail, hosted by the Hoskin family, allowed visitors to wander through the farm’s sunflowers while raising money for the hospital’s emergency and critical care services.
This year RiskSTOP Group and RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com sponsored sculptures along the trail, helping to create a more immersive and memorable experience for visitors. The money raised will go towards emergency medical care so the hospital can continue to provide life-saving services to those who need it.
“Dorset County Hospital is so important to our community, and by supporting this appeal, we hope to make sure life-saving services are available to all who need them.” Natalie Joyce added.
Bake Sale for YoungMinds
In August, we had one of our best-ever bake sales in support of YoungMinds, a leading mental health charity for children and young people. Everyone got involved, baking and donating, and we raised a brilliant £826. The funds will help YoungMinds to ensure young people have access to the mental health support they need.
A Look Back at Chesil Rocks: Supporting the Samaritans
Earlier this summer RiskSTOP Group Ltd supported Chesil Rocks, an event that raised over £17,000 for The Samaritans. With live music, art and community at its heart, the event was a great success all in the name of mental health support for those in crisis. It’s a great reminder of the impact community can have in making a difference.
