A night that was ‘Out of this World’ for RiskSTOP Group

In November, RiskSTOP Group colleagues came together once again for what proved to be a memorable Winter Party. This is one of the most anticipated events of the year and a chance for everyone to enjoy an evening away from the day-to-day.

Event room with a giant moon and silver star decorations, blue lighting. Tables set elegantly; festive, cosmic atmosphere.

This year’s ‘Out of This World’ theme set the tone from the moment guests arrived, with imaginative touches throughout, great food from Dex’s Diner and a surprise appearance from a guitar-playing Darth Vader. It was a night that even the Empire might approve of.

Recognising colleagues who make a difference

A key moment in the evening was the presentation of the People’s Choice Award, given each year to someone who consistently makes a positive impact across the organisation. This year’s award went to Amy Lillington, Team Leader at RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com, whose contribution and support for others were reflected in the number of nominations she received.

The newly introduced Unsung Hero Award was presented to Claire Jones, Team Leader at RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com, recognising the steady, thoughtful work she brings to her role and the reassurance she offers to those who work alongside her.

Both awards were met with warm applause – a clear reflection of how valued the winners are within the team.

Long-service achievements for colleagues marking 15 and 20 years with RiskSTOP Group were also recognised on the night, highlighting the commitment and experience that continue to shape the organisation. A big congratulations and thank you to Sorrel Scott, Sarah Boyland, Paula Brand, Claire Panrucker and Alicia Smith.

‘There ain’t no party like a RiskSTOP Group party’

The space theme inspired plenty of creativity, with guests arriving in outfits that ranged from subtle sci-fi details to full intergalactic characters.

After the awards, the dance floor filled quickly. The mix of good music, relaxed atmosphere and an enthusiastic crowd kept things going well into the evening, which was helped along by Darth Vader’s musical cameo, which became a talking point in its own right.

Managing Director Danny Lillington shared his thanks with colleagues, “It’s always great to bring everyone together and take a moment to appreciate the people who make this organisation what it is. The party is an opportunity to recognise the hard work happening across the Group, and it’s something I look forward to each year.”

Operations Director Tom Lillington said, “Seeing everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating each other is a real highlight. It reminds us how much the people here contribute, not only to the work we do, but to the culture we’ve built.”

As the evening drew to a close, the feeling in the room captured what makes the Winter Party so meaningful: a chance to appreciate colleagues, acknowledge achievements, and spend time together in a way that reflects the Group’s supportive culture, centred on its people.

Here’s to the year ahead, and to everyone who plays a part in making RiskSTOP Group what it is. To find out more about what RiskSTOP Group is all about, take a look here.
